Health care providers use a variety of surgical and medical treatments for adrenal gland disorders.  

The adrenal glands, which are small triangular glands on the top of each kidney, produce hormones such as cortisol, aldosterone, epinephrine and norepinephrine. These hormones help regulate various body functions, including metabolism, blood pressure, the immune system, and how the body responds to stress, among others.

 

Adrenal gland disorders can result in high or low levels of cortisol / aldosterone/both.

Adrenal gland disorders can be diagnosed with blood tests, ultrasound / CT scan / MRI scan of adrenal glands. Adrenal gland disorders can be treated effectively medically / surgically depending on specific disorder.
